Erika Eckerstrand

Erika is a Swedish-born Santa Fe artist who marries form and function in all that she does. The first international graduate of the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, Erika works in a wide variety of mediums such as pottery, beadwork, jewelry, sculpture and more. Her creations have been featured in many galleries and exhibits in both the United States and Sweden.

Her newest work includes a line of totes, handbags and wallets. In it, Erika transforms hardy materials originally made to withstand the elements (such as vinyl awning fabric and waterproof Cordura nylon) into sleek, contemporary pieces that are just as practical as they are stylish and unique.
